Foster's Corner, Mondays - 6:00 to 9:00PM (Eastern)!
Foster's Corner is a bluegrass music program produced and hosted by Bill Foster of Strasburg, VA.
The program can be heard each Monday evening from 6:00PM to 9:00PM (Eastern), on WAMU's
Bluegrass Country.
Bill brings listeners a variety of bluegrass music from the 1960s thru some of today's latest,
with a sprinkling of classic country tossed in. And in his second hour Bill features LP (vinyl) selections, some of
which have not been reissued on CD.
Foster's Corner is pre-recorded in Bill's studio at his home in the Shenandoah Valley town of Strasburg, Virginia.
Bill has been a familiar voice on WAMU since the mid 1980's when he and Les McIntyre founded "Bluegrass Overnight",
which ran from 1985 through 2007. Bill continues to bring WAMU's listeners three hours of great bluegrass
music from the traditional to the modern, in the road, and on the edge.
"I welcome the opportunity to continue bringing a great mix of bluegrass related music to Bluegrass Country's national
and international listeners."
