Foster's Corner - Bluegrass Music for Them's That Knows
Foster's Corner is a bluegrass music program produced and hosted by Bill Foster of Strasburg, VA.
The program can be heard each Monday evening at it's new time from 7:00PM to 10:00PM (Eastern), on WAMU's Bluegrass Country.
Bill has been a familiar voice on WAMU since the mid 1980's.
In 1985 he and the late Les McIntyre co-founded "Bluegrass Overnight" with co-host Carol Pittard (later with Al Steiner). "Bluegrass Overnight" ran from 1985 through 2007.
Bill continues to bring listeners three hours of great bluegrass music from the traditional to the modern, in the road, and on the edge. Bill features recordings from the 1960s thru some of today's latest, with a sprinkling of classic country tossed in. "I welcome the opportunity to continue bringing a great mix of bluegrass related music to Bluegrass Country's national and international listeners." Foster's Corner is pre-recorded in Bill's studio at his home in the Shenandoah Valley town of Strasburg, Virginia.
Bluegrass Country is a 24-hour bluegrass station that is part of American University's public radio, in Washington, DC.
