Class of 2011

Welcome to an un-official Leadership Bluegrass Alumni site. By now we have all been through the program where we sought to explore bluegrass music and its place in the larger world of entertainment through: A systematic study of the business of bluegrass, its institutions and organizations, their needs, problems and resources; An Exposure to a wide variety of current music leaders and notable persons; Encouraged to think independently with fresh perspectives and approaches; Make acquaintances with relevant issues facing bluegrass, their history and future possibilities; and become involved in all the related facets of the music industry which impact bluegrass.

Our four main projects that the Alumni sponsors or produces are:

The Master Class A one-day seminar held just prior to IBMA's World of Bluegrass Trade Show, For continuing education in order to keep knowledge of the industry fresh. The class is designed specifically with the graduate's knowledge base and analytical skill set in mind. And it is an added opportunity to meet members of other classes, and to be exciting and enjoyable.
